Give sport to today’s girls and empower tomorrow’s women.

Our vision at Strive for Girls is to provide a sport’s training environment available to all girls where they feel confident to explore, attempt, succeed, fail and sweat.  We will teach them the skills of the sport from beginner to advanced with a focus on three important areas: skills and work ethic, leadership, and team. Our vision is that these three pillars of focus will provide young girls entering high school with a stronger sense of goals, drive and confidence that empowers them to succeed in school and make healthy social decisions.

We are focusing on the BASKETBALL program initially and will continue to build this program indefinitely.  Our vision in the future is to add a sport to our program each year or as viable depending on grants and donations.

Three Pillars of Focus

Skills and Work Ethic: Our team of coaches will teach girls the skills of their sports at every level.  We will also instill the realities of work ethic that it takes to reach the next level in their sport at whatever point they are beginning.

Leadership: Some people are natural leaders.  At Strive for Girls we will foster and develop those characteristics in natural leaders and we will also work to develop those skills in girls that have a tendency to follow. We will have formats where girls at every level are given opportunities to teach a skill or an exercise to their team. We will also utilize the varying ages for the older girls to mentor the younger athletes.

Team: We will work to foster an environment that promotes teamwork and community across varying ages and social groups.  Our country and world are diverse.  Sports bring us together with common goals with people that look differently, talk differently and believe differently and give us commonality and clarity to look at each other beyond those differences.
